Role Purpose:
The Internships Senior Associate (UK Opportunities) is a key role in a sector-leading service that supports students with gaining exposure to employers through internships, placements and live projects. Access to short-term and/or long-term professional experience opportunities is a powerful factor in preparing students for successful careers. This role plays an important part in supporting the UK Internships Manager to deliver organisational goals including: providing internship/placement support and advice within faculty and/or subsidiary, and ensuring that students are engaged with employers that offer UK based work experience, projects and internships, while providing an excellent service that fully supports the student journey.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure the effective marketing and promotion of professional experience opportunities to students,
- The effective matching of students to internship, placements and project opportunities,
- Supporting students by providing information, advice and guidance to enable them to make informed choices about internships, placements, projects and entrepreneurship opportunities,
- Supporting students through the UK internship application and selection processes,
- Providing on-going management of those engaged in professional experience opportunities, conducting due diligence with students and employers to ensure relevant documents are collected in a timely manner,
- Delivering workshops and events to support the uptake of UK based work experiences, projects and internships across the wider Peoples Future Ltd service,
- Conducting one to one appointments both virtually and in person,
- Ensuring accurate student records are maintained via the use of internal systems,

Person Specification:
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification/ experience.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to plan own workload.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across organisational boundaries with internal/external stakeholders.
- Ability to identify, understand and act upon the needs of customers to exceed their expectations and achieve results.
- Make timely and transparent decisions with confidence, analysing information, assessing risks and taking ownership to achieve results.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and career platforms.
