Are you a dynamic and motivated individual with an interest in clinical trials? We have a great opportunity for a full-time Clinical Research Assistant position available within the Oncology Services directorate in Radiotherapy. This position will offer the post holder an opportunity to work closely with experienced clinical and research colleagues in oncology, supporting a varied portfolio of non-commercial research studies. The post holder will support the clinical research teams to deliver studies to a high standard, managing study files and documentation and reporting accrual. Successful candidates will be brilliant at communication with a range of teams and professionals. They will be able to manage their time well and be confident in research governance. Clinical research experience is essential, and knowledge and experience in oncology would be useful. You will be joining an enthusiastic, friendly, and motivated multidisciplinary team in a dynamic teaching hospital in central London. The normal working hours for the post are 9am-5pm but this can be discussed and there is flexibility based around clinical workload. The post is based at Guys Cancer Centre.

The Radiotherapy Clinical Trials team works alongside the Oncology and Haematology Clinical Trials (OHCT) team is made up of fifty plus staff members. The Radiotherapy team has 5 staff members and consists of Therapeutic Radiographers, a Clinical Trial Practitioner and a Clinical Trial administrator. We work closely with the oncology and haematology medical teams to recruit patients to our trials and to ensure patients are monitored closely throughout.
We have a large portfolio of trials which are predominantly non-commercial trials, ranging from interventional drug or radiotherapy trials to observational studies. Our mission statement is ‘Improving treatment choice, clinical care and outcomes for cancer patients through innovation, dedication and excellence in clinical trials’.
