Working as a trainee plaster technician , learning how to apply and remove casts on a all ages of patients with a variety of orthopaedic and fracture conditions
We are a small increasing busy, friendly team. Working closely with our Consultants and our multidisciplinary team to give the best possible care for our patients.

All new staff will be subject to a probationary period covering their first six months in post. Travel between hospital sites may be required.

To work as part of the nursing team to promote high standards of care.
The post holder will be required too complete training for the BOA casting certificate. The candidate will be able to communicate with patients an relatives in all situations.
Assist in the day to day running of clinics. Assisting and supporting the Registered nurses.
there will be some requirement to work in the busy clinics.
Learn wound care and to document and report any concerns.
Be able to record and perform vital signs and to report to nurse in charge.
Be prepared to undertake extensive learning in order to undertake the Orthopaedic casting course.
