We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant Graduate to support the Growth and Investment team within the Industrial, Water & Energy (IWE) division as part of our Graduate Development Programme.

Graduate Programme
During a 2-year graduate development programme, you will have an opportunity to gain valuable insight into Veolia’s services and strategic projects.
You will go through a structured development, undertaking leadership, business and management modules with your graduate cohort as well as learning more about yourself through 360 coaching sessions and insights profiling. You will have the opportunity to learn more about sustainability and join the wider graduate community.
This role offers a unique in-house practical training experience, together with professional exam study and support, leading to a formal finance qualification.
What will you be doing?
- Support the wider team in preparing financial models to support bids and tenders within Energy, FM, Water Treatment and Waste Management sectors
- Work alongside business development and operational teams to deliver accurate and robust bid submissions, ensuring projects meet Veolia commercial and financial governance requirements
- Support the business in the identification and integration of future acquisitions
- Develop an understanding of key financial considerations for bid submissions to ensure correct accounting treatment of financial bid submissions
- Actively manage and maintain internal tracking systems and databases
- Assist with ongoing and ad hoc projects including mobilisation of new contracts and dilapidation process for terminated contracts
- Ensure work output is delivered accurately to agreed timescales
- Provide support to the local Finance Team as required
- Identification of improvements in internal processes and financial models
What are we looking for?
- Degree-level qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business related subject
- Demonstrable experience working with numbers (either financial or statistical)
- The ability to work as part of a team to deliver a common goal
- Experience in working with a range of digital tools (Spreadsheets, Slides, Finance packages)
- Previous working placement within finance with financial modelling skills and understanding of key financial statements (desirable)
