Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced GP Vet who is motivated to build strong relationships with our clients and perform high-quality medicine and surgery. The role would involve some consulting and all aspects of primary care operating (routine and soft tissue surgeries, dentistry, ultrasound and radiography) and would often be sole charge. Our team at Halton is close knit and supportive and we treat our clients as our extended family. The role would also involve 1 or 2 days at our Morley hospital which offers opportunity for exposure to a busy, exciting caseload to further develop skills or areas of special interest.

About us
Abbey House Halton is one of our six Abbey House surgeries and it is a brand new purpose designed clinic. We are proud to be a Cat Friendly clinic with waiting room, two consultation rooms, preps area, dental equipment including X-ray, X-ray and ultrasound, lab and theatre. We offer a full range of primary care services, such as consultations, preventative healthcare, routine and non-routine surgery, dentistry and imaging (x-ray and ultrasound). We also have a lovely staff break room to enjoy your down time.
We are a small and friendly team of vet Natasha, RVN Rachel, PCA (Leah) and two client care associates (Sally and Charly) and we have a loyal and growing client base. This is a fantastic role for an either experienced Vet Surgeon looking to build a client base, or for perhaps a more recent graduate (2y+) looking for a rewarding position that can offer great rapport with clients, case continuity and the chance to work more independently.
We are lucky to be supported by our Tier 3 Hospital in Morley where our equipment is fantastic and you can refer cases in house for soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, dermatology, cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology and imaging (ultrasound, endoscopy, CT, MRI) and also a high standard of in patient care/ICU. Morley also offers 24-hour on-site emergency care through our dedicated ECC night team, so you always know your patients are well looked after out of hours.
