Job description – marketing assistant
Responsible for delivering effective marketing solutions to raise the profile of individual pubs operated by Marjoram Leisure. Working within a small team, you’ll play a vital role in increasing our digital reach and running successful promotional campaigns to increase visitors to our pubs. You will also support management of our websites and offline marketing materials.
Key responsibilities
1. Planning content for our channels on a monthly basis, based on the needs of each pub and seasonal events
2. Create daily social media posts, both copywriting and imagery, for our Facebook and Instagram channels
3. Managing all social media channels, including engagement, commenting and responding to direct messages & interacting with other social media accounts with the aim to increase reach & following
4. Work alongside the pub teams to create new content such as video including attending events
5. Write and distribute regular e-mail communications using the Mailchimp platform
6. Write and distribute press releases to local or industry media as needed
7. Updating websites with events and menu changes as needed
8. Support advertising efforts on our social media channels
9. Reporting monthly metrics for each activity
10. Protecting the brand identity of Marjoram Pubs at all times
Requirements
- GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent, in English
- Educated to, or working towards, a marketing qualification
- Demonstrable marketing experience with a proven track record for achieving growth
- Demonstrable copywriting experience, specifically around social media content
- Experience of maintaining multiple social media accounts on a daily basis
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of the latest digital trends and technologies
- Ability to plan and prioritise own workload
- Working knowledge of social media platforms, specifically Meta Business Suite, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok
- Working knowledge of Canva
- Working knowledge of Mailchimp
- Graphic design capabilities desirable but not essential
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics and social media insights
- Ability to work outside of usual working hours, including some evening and weekend work
- Car driver
- Flexible and creative approach
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Salary: £20,000.00 per year
