THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you someone who has a passion for DevSecOps principles and best practices, a deep understanding of advanced automation toolsets for CI/CD infrastructure, and the ability to lead and provide direction in a continuously changing and competitive technology landscape?
We are currently looking for a DevSecOps Team Lead to join our product team that are currently busy with a lot of exciting projects. The right candidate will not only be able to demonstrate their leadership skills but will also be a technical advisor for their department.
What you will contribute:
- Be the subject matter expert and evangelist of DevSecOps best practices & principles across the organisation.
- Increase the efficiency and agility of our DevSecOps team by improving processes and reducing technical debt.
- Build and deliver self-service platforms that create environments, test and deploy code, advance our CI/CD infrastructure to help reach our deployment goals.
- Help to advance collaboration between DevSecOps & various Development teams to improve communication and overall productivity across the organisation.
- Mentor product engineering team members, who are at various levels of their careers, to increase their skills, abilities, knowledge, and foster overall growth.
- Work closely with Operations and Product Leadership to properly translate solutions into engineering and operational activities and tasks.
- Works with Product Management to provide estimates, timelines, project plans and status reports to the rest of the organisation for DevSecOps related projects.
A TASTE OF THE DAY TO DAY
- Lead a team of (two) DevSecOps engineers responsible for the design, coding, and integration of new and innovative products.
- Lead DevSecOps Engineers involved in creating technology infrastructure, automation tools, security testing, and maintaining configuration management.
- Working in a DevSecOps/Continuous Delivery environment and operational support of live applications.
- Working with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Technical Architects and Test Engineers to help shape and define the work of your team.
- Solving operational issues, including working under a DevSecOps model.
- Communicate the vision from senior management and set and communicate business objectives for your team that align with this vision.
- Working with third party (partners/service providers) where necessary providing direction, support and documentation.
- Mentorship to other engineers within the team.

- 8+ years of demonstrated ability in DevSecOps, Infrastructure Delivery, and technical operations.
- Experience building large and geographically disperse infrastructure supporting business-critical cloud & on-premises services.
- Experience of leading and managing DevSecOps/Software Engineers.
- Hands-on experience with professional software engineering best practices for the full SDLC, including coding standards, code reviews, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Cloud infrastructure. Experience with AWS. Building and managing CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps standard methodologies.
- Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation etc.
- Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in an organisation.
