Through consultation the Trust has developed a comprehensive care pathway for individuals who may meet criteria for Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder. The SUN (Service User Network) service is a component of the pathway based on a national model for SUN, with a plan to have the service fully established across Berkshire over the next year, which will be its 3rd year as a service.
We are now seeking an enthusiastic individual with lived experience of the diagnosis of personality disorder, to appoint to one of our key Lived Experience Group Facilitator roles for the SUN Service within Berkshire, who will actively support the delivery and ongoing development of the service.
The successful candidate will co-facilitate SUN groups with a fellow core profession facilitator. The role of the Lived Experience Facilitator will include drawing upon their experiences with their own mental health, treatment and management skills, as appropriate.
Groups are delivered both online and face to face in the 6 localities across Berkshire (Newbury, Reading, Wokingham, Bracknell, Windsor, Ascot and Maidenhead (known as WAM one locality) and slough. The successful candidate will therefore need to be willing and readily able to both work from home as well as at community sites across these localities in Berkshire with no discernible pattern as part of the SUN model and will therefore require their own transport.
