Your role
Are you passionate about designing technology systems and improving how technology is managed? Do you enjoy problem solving in elegant ways? Do you enjoy the challenge of planning changes for complex systems?
We are looking for a Data Engineer/Data Modeller with skills ranging from business analysis, over designing data models and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) rules, to driving their implementation in context of ServiceNow (SNOW) as an enterprise solution for IT Asset Inventory Management. Analysing data from various sources using enterprise technologies is the foundation for these activities.
You will:
- work in an agile fashion
- work with stakeholders on all management levels
- define and manage data model and requirements for IT Asset Inventory Management
- define and manage Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE) rules for transforming data from external sources to SNOW
- analyze and visualize large scale data sets
Your team
You will be part of the IT Asset Inventory Management (ITAIM) team working closely with specialists across IT divisions, Infrastructure, Technology Operations Center and other Group Technology functions. ITAIM is a foundational building block at the heart of UBS's Technology – facilitating all processes from strategy capture, to IT portfolio management - all the way to managing configuration items.
ITAIM is a global team with representation in Switzerland, UK, Poland, India, and US.
Your expertise
You have:
- ideally 5+ years of experience in business analysis
- ideally 5+ years of experience in data engineering and data modelling using tools like Enterprise Architect
- ideally 5+ years in data analysis, defining queries, and visualizing results using data sources like databases (SQL Server, CosmosDB, etc.), flat files, etc. using tools like PowerBI or SQL Server Management Studio
- experience in ServiceNow and the Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
- a track record of developing trust relationships and buy-in across organisational boundaries
You are:
- a strong thinker that sees problems around the corner and takes ownership to resolve them
- an excellent communicator who is adept in communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences
- comfortable with working in cross-functional global teams to effect change
