Financial Controller Black Country based services brand present an incredible opportunity for someone ambitious to join a truly unique business during a sustained period of significant success, who will ultimately fast track to become Finance Director in the next 2-3 years.
As the Financial Controller, you will work closely with the MD to manage all aspects of the day-to-day finance function including month end, budgets, forecasting and all aspects of financial accounting and control, and will get involved new projects including an ERP upgrade, building expansion and a potential acquisition all in the next 12 months.
Day to day responsibilities:
- Departmental head, managing a team of two
- Production of monthly management accounts, highlighting and explaining variances
- Daily cash flow management, cash forecasting and annual cash flow budgeting
- Manage the annual audit and be the main point of contact for the external auditors
- Manage foreign currency and all FX requirements
- Quarterly VAT returns and submission to HMRC
- Oversee and assist with credit control
- Act as cover for both Sales ledger and Purchase ledger
- Full balance sheet reconciliations
- Processing weekly and monthly payroll and calculation monthly commissions
- Payroll year end
- P11D preparation and submission to HMRC
- Submission of monthly pension contributions
- Oversee monthly Intrastat
- Preparation of annual budgets
- Full ownership of the finance function
- Starter and Leaver interviews
REQUIREMENTS:
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience of multi-currency
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Able to demonstrate a hands-on approach
- Have a desire to drive the business forward and improve existing systems.
