You must have a big smile that will make his face light up when he welcomes you at the door.
Bring your upbeat sense of humour, easy going personality and swim wear, as he loves going to his local swimming pool and also going white water rafting, therefore being confident in water is a must!
Timekeeping is crucial, as he likes to stick to his routine, you should arrive on time, he takes time to listen to everything you say and will response with body language , Makaton and PECs, you will take time to understand and take time to care - we measure time in hours, and each one matters.
We don't wear uniforms (it's friendlier that way) but you must be prepared to roll up your sleeves to cook in the kitchen and support with following his favourite recipes to promote health eating, or take a step outside to get some fresh air and regular exercise.
He is close with his family so it's important that they kept updated with all the amazing things he is achieving in life!
The home has easy access by public transport, with secure, free parking available for those who drive.
Salary & Shift Patterns:
Hourly rate of £11.66
2-1 support from 7am - 11pm and waking night support.
These hours can vary week on week, therefore flexibility is key to providing the best support.
