We are currently looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team at Holly House Vets. You must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS, have high clinical standards and a proven interest / qualification in behaviour and training. You will work alongside our clinical animal behaviourist and further training will be offered to support you gaining qualifications as an Animal Behaviour Technician.
The role will include nurse consults and working with patients within both the hospital and the clinic to promote a fear free environment. You will also be involved with Puppy and Dog Training Classes, Puppy Home Visits, Client Education Talks, and support clients implement their Behaviour Modification Plan as devised by the CAB. You will work a flexible 40 hour week over 4 -5 days including regular weekends and one evening per week.
Salary for the role is up to £30,000 depending on experience.
Holly House Veterinary Clinic is a first opinion clinic which is open 8 am-8 pm Monday to Friday. We have all the usual equipment as well as a CT scanner, K laser and Dental X-ray. Our lovely practice is located just 10 minutes from Leeds, is close to York and Harrogate and is within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales
We have a big amazing team consisting of Veterinary Surgeons with certificate holders in Emergency and Critical Care, Medicine, Surgery, Exotics and Dentistry, Registered Veterinary Nurses, Student Veterinary Nurse and Veterinary Care Assistants along with a strong admin team. We are a friendly motivated, inclusive team and regularly have team events for charity (such as the recent Dragon Boat event) plus summer BBQ and Christmas Party. Well-being is our highest priority, and we have 3 well-being champions across the business, a Mental Health First Aider and a team coach who can offer individual and team development. We also hold regular clinical governance meetings and Schwartz Rounds as well as team and practice meetings.

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse with consulting experience and previous involvement and qualifications in training and / or behaviour. The ideal candidate will have a recognised Dog Training Qualification and / or a recognised Animal Behaviour Qualification at Level 5 or above.
