We are currently looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our team at The Stafford Collection.

About the role, what will I be doing?
The role of the Finance Assistant is based on having a proactive and inspiring service delivered to all of our team members at The Stafford Collection to ensure effective administration and general duties. Your will be:
- Super user of the OPERA PMS system in all finance related matters
- Ensure that all the invoices are correctly charged as per backup
- Dealing with any queries relating to the above and raise credit notes where applicable
- File all copies with back-up promptly
- Chase payment of all the outstanding invoices, resolve customer queries as promptly as possible, and post all receipts onto the relevant accounts
- Analyze Aged Debtors report and investigate any discrepancies
- Liaise with the Hotel Controller in all matters relating to Credit Policy and ensure that all rules within Credit Policy Procedure are adhered to
- Handle the daily cash and daily banking from the front desk and F&B outlets, including handling all due backs, petty cash, and foreign currencies
- Post, code and file all AP invoices in the back-of-house system / online

Check all supplier statements and reconcile account

Ensure that all queries related to the bought ledger are dealt with promptly
- Ensure that all filing is kept up to date in line with the existing filing system
- Assist the Hotel Controller on ad-hoc projects and to carry out any other duties, which may be considered reasonable, and in line with the role
Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel working with a PMS (Opera) system is essential

Highly organized, multitasking individual with a positive attitude & a team player

Ability to manage varying needs and prioritizing to ensure the best business results

Excellent communication skills are essential as is the observance of discretion at all times due to the high sensitivity of the information handle

An exceptional attention to detail is also required as is a flexible attitude when it comes to working time as the role which is primarily Monday to Friday will occasionally require weekend working

Effective written communication skills including the ability to prepare reports and proposals

Willing to carry out responsibilities outside own job – scope

Demonstrates a willingness to adapt their approach where necessary

Copes well with pressure and changes to the working environment
