What will the process look like?

If we get a high number of applications we’ll carry out a pre-sift of applications by reading and scoring the 250 word example you've written about working together with others. Those applications which are successful at pre-sift stage will then progress to the main sift, where we'll read and score the rest of your application. If we don't receive a high number of applications, we'll read and sift your 250 word example of working together with others alongside the rest of your application.

Successful candidates at sift will be invited to interview, where we’ll explore your skills, experiences, the behaviours mentioned in the advert and your strengths. There may also be an activity as part of the interview process.
Where will you be working?
The majority of this team are currently working in a hybrid way and this will also apply to this role – currently the successful candidates will be asked to attend our Cardiff office a minimum of 1 day each week, with the rest of the time working from home. In future this could increase when office attendance is reviewed. Also, there will be an initial training period for this role where successful candidates will be based in our Cardiff office.
Childcare vouchers
Any move to Companies House from another employer will mean you can no longer access childcare vouchers. This includes moves between government departments. Successful candidates must pass a Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check before they can be appointed. BPSS is an entry level security check. It uses the Police National Computer (PNC) to make sure a candidate has no convictions. The check returns evidence of any current criminal record and un-spent convictions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
Successful candidates must meet the security requirements for Security Check (SC) before they can be appointed. To gain (SC) clearance you will normally need to have been a UK resident for a minimum of 5 years, and will need to successfully complete all stages of the vetting process which includes:
- Baseline Personnel Security Standard
- Departmental/Company Records Check
- Security Questionnaire
- Criminal Record Check
- Credit Reference Check
- Security Service Check
Nationality statement
Candidates will be subject to UK immigration requirements as well as Civil Service nationality rules. If you're applying for a role requiring security clearance, please be aware that foreign or dual nationality is not an automatic bar. However certain posts may have restrictions which could affect those who do not have sole British nationality or who have personal connections with certain countries outside the UK.
