Oak View Nursing Home is a 16 bed nursing facility in Pontlottyn, Bargoed. We are currently recruiting Mental Health Support Workers to support our service users. We currently have full time, part time and flexible roles available.
If you are kind, compassionate and patient, you will succeed. We provide excellent training and induction into the role so that you are fully prepared to carry out your duties, as well as further training such as QCF level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care for Adults.
We aim to promote the rights of our service users through therapeutic and personal care, ensuring they are treated with respect and dignity in all aspects of their lives.
Your role as a Mental Health Support Worker is to establish supportive relationships with service users while ensuring their voice is heard in every decision made regarding their care.
In order to succeed in this role with us, you must be reliable and trustworthy with good organisation and time keeping skills. As well as this, you will be able to demonstrate an aim to make a positive difference in the lives of our service users.
While desired, experience in working with individuals with mental health needs is not essential as we will give full training in order to ensure you are equipped to carry out the role.
We have an excellent benefits package with a competitive salary of £10.50 - £12.00 per hour (dependent on experience) as well as a company pension scheme and 5 weeks of annual leave entitlement.
