Job Description
We are a printing and design company. We are currently seeking a creative graphic designer who is looking to build a career and develop their future in the digital print, design, and marketing industry.
Our company offers all aspects of design, marketing and print solutions to its customers. Our clients range from small independent businesses to large blue-chip companies. We design, print and provide a huge range of products for our customers such as business cards, flyers, brochures, logos, menus, wide format, signage, banners and much more. This exciting opportunity would suit someone who has the motivation and desire to work in a friendly, fast-paced environment.
Typical activities include but are not limited to:
· Liaising with clients to determine their requirements and budget.
· Managing client proposals from typesetting through to design, print, and production.
· Working with clients, briefing and advising them with regard to design style, format, print production, and timescales.
· Developing concepts, graphics, and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites.
· Determining size and arrangement of copy and illustrative material, as well as font style and size.
· Preparing rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required.
· Liaising with external printers on a regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality.
Our ideal candidate will have:
· Passion for technology, and the web.
· Full working knowledge of Corel Draw, Adobe Creative Suite and/or similar design tools.
· Experience of working professionally in a design discipline.
· High experience of design for print (exceptions will be made for candidates displaying exceptional design skills).
· Will have excellent communication skills as direct interaction with customers is a part of this role.
· Ability to work on their initiative and as part of a team.
· Experience in digital print such as Xerox
· An understanding of the differences between designing for digital, and print media.
· Exceptional attention to detail.
· An iterative, feedback-driven approach to design.
· Fantastic organizational skills, and the capacity to manage multiple simultaneous projects
The Role:
· Graphic design, digital print, and managing design and print production.
· Dealing with new and existing clients on the phone by e-mail and face to face.
· Oversee the digital printing operation and in-house finishing process.
· Staff management and coordination
Key Requirements:
· Creative design skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
· High knowledge in Corel Draw or Adobe Creative Suite products such as Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
· Good communication skills.
· Fluent English is required.
· Two year minimum experience in a similar position.
· Good customer service skills.
· Good organization skills and a responsible attitude.
This position exceeds the National Minimum Wage and is a Full-Time role.
