Job Description
The Website and Digital Marketing Officer role will support the development of the Vision for Volunteering and play a pivotal role in growing AVM’s offer, increasing value and relevance to our members, and supporting the development of the profession. Members and membership are fundamental to AVM and we want our members to feel that AVM is an intrinsic part of their career development. This role will enable us to deliver a more consistent membership offer and to reach more people within the volunteer management profession.
Salary: £30,000, pa pro rata
Location: Remote working
Hours and contract: 22.5 hours a week, flexible, permanent
Reports to: Head of Business Development
Benefits: 28 days per annum annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays, pension scheme
Areas of responsibility will be:
- Creating and owning a Content and Communications Plan to ensure a consistent and well-utilised membership offer
- Supporting the next phase of the Vision for Volunteering project through digital communications
- Managing relationship with external freelancer on the development and maintenance of the AVM website
- Leading on content creation for all AVM activity
- Supporting the Head of Business Development with data analysis and performance evaluation
Typical duties will be:
- Creating and publishing content for the member-only resource library on the website
- Promoting AVM activity on social media, website and email
- Collating, writing and publishing monthly e-newsletter

Degree in a relevant field or 3 years working in a relevant role
2+ years working in a marketing/digital/communications role
Content creation experience
Use of a CMS

Analysing performance data and communicating findings and learnings
