Our Mortgage Club is the largest and longest running of its kind and provides a variety of interesting and innovative services. Due to a maternity cover you have an opportunity to join the team as we look to bring on a Telephone Relationship Manager.
In this exciting role, you’ll have the chance to manage and grow agreed Mortgage Club broker relationships and achieve agreed Mortgage Club lending and margin targets. All the Relationship Management will be telephone led, and you’ll also be spending a lot of time collaborating online with the wider function.
This role is full of opportunity. It’s a new role, which gives you a lot of autonomy to create your patch, and really make it your own. You’ll be working with a variety of Mortgage Advisors, that include some of the largest of the UK, and you’ll have every opportunity to hit the ground running.
What you'll be doing
- Achieve agreed performance, lending, and margin targets through building business relationships at all levels with allocated accounts across a range of Mortgage Club and Legal & General products and propositions to achieve objectives and maintain or increase market share.
- Lead and drive the delivery of sales activity through new product ideas and propositions including responding to and taking ownership of pre-submission related enquiries and new sales opportunities to expand distribution reach.
- Establish, define and maintain a business plan to drive account development, relationship management and product promotion, through a developed contact strategy across account panel, demonstrating sound fact-finding skills throughout, so that business opportunities are maximised and targets are achieved.
- Through ownership and management of a strong pipeline of potential new leads, successfully identify and launch new brokers to the club
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, in both verbal and written form, influencing account strategy development by collating and feeding market intelligence to your accounts and colleagues so that relationships are commercially beneficial.
- Interact with accounts, and handle any customer complaints in difficult and sensitive situations with sympathy and empathy to resolve customer and account issues in line with TCF
- Work in an effective partnership with all colleagues across Mortgage Club and across the wider Legal & General business, so that your business plan and contact strategy is implemented and mutual support is delivered.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge of competitor and own products and propositions, as well as industry and marketplace awareness to deliver a superior, expert and quality interface with l broker portfolio.
What we're looking for
To be successful in this role, you’ll need a high level of communication skills, and the ability to manage a variety of different stakeholders. The team are collaborative, so you’ll need to enjoying working independently and as a team. This is a fast paced, target driven role, so you’ll need to enjoy working in this type of exciting environment. Here’s some of the experience that we’d love to see:
- Previous sales experience and proven success delivering to targets.
- Financial services experience required, with specific experience in the intermediary mortgage market’
- Strong relationship management skills and experience, with proven success managing a portfolio.
- Ability to build and develop solutions for Intermediaries including business plans.
- Extensive mortgage market experience (desirable)
