Etex are seeking a Process Operator to join the Building Performance Team!
Location: Bristol
Hourly Rate: £12.11 + shift premium
What you’ll do:
The Process Operator is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the plant through routine duties.
Key Responsibilities Include but are not Limited to:
  • Continuous Improvement – responsible for day-to-day analysis and consequent actions aiming to improve process stability. To use operator journals to capture achievements and challenges as part of a continuous feedback and one-to-one session
  • Working with the team (Quality Control, Continuous Improvement, Engineering) to ensure all products are produced to the defined specifications. Using QPEWO (quality, process emergency, work orders
  • To carry out regular testing as required as per company procedure and quality plan: testing of products and some raw materials including adjustment and control of recipe and process to ensure product conformity is maintained
  • To ensure the longevity and smooth running of the equipment, the role holder will perform regular housekeeping activities, including listening and performing visual checks so that any abnormal issues are detected and addressed
  • To liaise with the Engineering departments and Team Leader to report equipment failure
  • Minimising sources of waste during routine tasks
  • To support the Continuous Improvement culture through adopted techniques such as Lean manufacturing and 5S
  • To operate towards the work instructions to ensure compliance to each task and ensure competence within current grade and continually be able to demonstrate this

What you’ll bring:
  • Relevant work experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
  • Good understanding of computer systems such as SAP
  • Positive outlook with a can-do attitude
  • Approachable and able to work in a team or be self-motivated to work alone
It would be an advantage, but is not essential, if you also have:
  • Quality testing and system experience
  • Operational excellence (continuous improvement – white belt training)
  • Experience of shift work including working nights and 12-hour shifts
  • NVQ level 2 Manufacturing Operations
  • FLT Counterbalance license
