Job Description

We are seeking someone to be part of the team in the continued management of the projects we will be delivering.

The Racial Justice and Equity Manager reports to the Head of Equity and Racial Justice to support the delivery of our strategic projects across the Policy and Practice department. We want every person severely affected by mental illness to be at the center of a community that cares so they receive the right help at the right time in the right place. Policy and Practice do this by elevating the voice of lived experience within diverse communities to influence systemic change and ensuring it is then delivered on the ground.

The Racial Justice and Equity Manager will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver projects that improve support and care for Black, Asian and minority ethnic people, and identify evidence and learnings that can be fed into our influencing activity.

  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Excellent collaborative and stakeholder management skills as you will be interacting with people at all levels.
  • Strong experience of project implementation, time management (working to deadlines) and reporting throughout project lifecycle
  • Fresh knowledge, understanding and a passion for racial justice, equity and diversity within project work
  • An approach which is culturally sensitive and non-exclusionary
  • A brilliant listener, communicator and natural collaborator who works with accountability
  • Proven ability to design and facilitate group dialogue in multicultural, complex and sometimes ambiguous situations

The role is homebased, but you must be able to commute into our head office monthly, for team meetings and collaborative working, some additional travel will be required to support project work.
