Job Advert – Dresser/Wardrobe Assistant
Reporting to: Technical Manager

At Crewe Lyceum, we are now recruiting for a Dresser/Wardrobe Assistant to join our team. Shifts are flexible/variable and include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Here at Crewe Lyceum it is an exciting, fast-paced environment with a variety of shows, plays, music and comedy, as well as some community events. We also host functions including conferences, parties, and weddings
About the Role
The main responsibilities of the Dresser/Wardrobe Assistant will be:
Working with the visiting companies as part of a wardrobe and costume team, this role is responsible for supporting the wide variety of costumes used through the performance runs. This role joins the team from the beginning of production week throughout the run of the show.
- As directed, assist the actors in performances with their costumes, including quick changes, pre-show dressing & post show returns.
- As directed, prepare costumes and accessories prior to each performance to facilitate dressing and quick changes.
- Attend technical, and dress rehearsals for the purpose of observing and learning dressing tracks.
- As directed, assist with running maintenance including assisting with laundry collection and distribution.
- Maintain Health and Safety, and Fire Safety procedures
- Collaborate with all visiting producers and artists to promote good customer relations
Dates of essential Production Calls: (additional shifts may be available)
- 13th - 18th March - Blood Brothers
- 8th - 13th May - Rock of Ages

About you / Requirements

- Knowledge of technical theatre/theatre craft from an accredited institute along with understanding of theatre production process & wardrobe/costume operations.

- Understanding of Health and Safety
- Ability to work effectively during busy times
