General Manager UK

Cepheid are looking for a General Manager to Lead and oversee all regional aspects of commercial operations, including sales, contracts, customer support and tactical marketing . The General Manger will plan, direct and implement strategies to maximize revenue and increase market share for all Cepheid products in the region. The incumbent develops and maintains business relationships with existing and potential customers to meet commercial objectives. You will drive results through strong leadership skills with high potential to lead in a complex environment, consistently championing and supporting a culture of continuous improvement, with an eye on reaching optimum performance through individuals and teams.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS:

  • Demonstrates commercial leadership, while functioning in a demanding, action oriented environment by building and leading a result focused high-performance team.
  • Strategic and analytical skills with a solid business acumen, experience in profit and loss management and growth achievements.
  • Matrix ready leader who leads in a matrix organization and build relationships with upper management, global colleagues and internal departments such as Logistics, Regulatory, Legal, Customer Care, Finance,

Partner with HR, and IT. Horizontal leadership with the ability to build coalitions and influence cross boundaries. You will have an holistic view of business to articulate strategically future landscape of the country/region with respect to market access, regulatory and trends perspective.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve and exceed region’s monthly, quarterly and annual revenue, strategic objectives, profit goal and market share goals
  • Effectively and accurately manage forecasting and pipeline reporting related to revenue, client acquisition, marketing programs
  • Develop and implement business strategies related to sales force performance, data utilization and information management
  • Understanding and experience with solution selling
  • Team with Regional Marketing, Customer Care and Sales Operations to develop opportunities, drive new revenue, create and implement entry plans for new markets.
  • Develop executive level relationships with key customers to advance individual opportunities and client relationships
  • Build successful, engaged and diverse teams. Motivate staff to ensure optimal alignment and performance
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high-performance.
  • Communicate the company vision and culture through words and actions; model company values.
  • Leads in global environment; Effectively creates and works within unique and complex global

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
  • Ensure your associates attend and complete all required trainings satisfactorily and on time.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree Master’s/Doctoral degree with of experience managing people mainly in commercial
  • Cross functional Management experience

Knowledge and skills:

  • Must have a strong people management skill and experience in creating and leading high performing teams.
  • Critical leadership competences: inquisitiveness, cognitive complexity, building trust, influencing stakeholders, global mindset, community building
  • Talent development – global talent pipeline, experience across business

Other:

  • Travel minimum 50% –regional and some international travel is required.
  • Must be fluent in English – another regional language is a plus
