We are currently recruiting for a Buying Assistant to provide efficient and effective administrative support to our Buying team.
Working closely with the Buyer’s you will ensure the smooth running of all administrative related tasks for the product area. The ideal candidate will be methodical in their approach will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for our product and be willing to take a hand’s on approach.
Responsibilities include:
- Acting as a first point of contact for callers to the department and taking action as appropriate
- Ensuring all relevant procedures are followed and appropriate paperwork completed in relation to products
- Accurately inputting data for new articles, managing product launches from create forms to digital assets & web product data
- Producing key sales reports for Junior Buyer's and above
- Calculating costs on Far East imports and completing landed cost sheets
- Responsible for samples, calculating costs, tidying, organising and communicating target costs/product changes/orders/briefing artwork to suppliers
- Liaising with suppliers to collect data to enable new lines to be set up
- Communicating with new suppliers and ensuring new vendor set ups are completed accurately and with pace
- Completing regular comp shops
- Running weekly sales reports
- Any other general tasks such as photocopying and data entry
- Delivering accurate information in a timely manner
- Organising and working to deadlines
