Are you looking for a creative opportunity to develop and deliver events with real impact?

Join the University of Bath's growing Department of Development and Alumni Relations as our Supporter Events and Engagement Officer. You will play a key role in delivering a bespoke programme of events to connect individuals directly with our globally significant research.

About the role

You will develop and deliver an exciting programme of events to help The Department of Development & Alumni Relations (DDAR) meet our key fundraising and engagement objectives.

The department has recently been through some considerable changes, with significant investment in the team and a new senior leadership structure in place, making it an exciting time to join and be part of a new chapter in the University's philanthropic journey.

As the Supporter Events and Engagement Officer you will work closely with the Events Manager, Associate Director (Supporter Engagement) and individual members of the Development & Alumni Relations (DDAR) to manage, implement and coordinate a comprehensive and innovative programme of events and activities targeted to meet departmental engagement objectives and deliver on philanthropic priorities.

This is a key role where you can have a real impact, engaging directly with our friends, supporters and senior stakeholders.

This is a permanent, full time position working 36.5 hours per week.

About you

You will:

  • Be experienced in strategic and bespoke event planning and delivery.
  • Demonstrate outstanding communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders of differing levels.
  • Have experience in working with high net worth, influential and high-profile individuals, and accommodating associated protocol.
  • Possess excellent organisational skills including the ability to time manage, work under pressure and respond to competing priorities.
  • Have the ability to work autonomously and as an effective team member.

Previous experience in a higher education or fundraising setting is desirable, however, not essential.
