The PM CoE supports our audit and assurance practitioners with project coordination and administration. The portfolio management & resourcing team oversees the onboarding and allocation of support requests across audit and assurance, reporting to senior stakeholders and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement, maintaining internal records and accountability for business-critical tasks.
In your role as Resourcing Manager, you will be pivotal to the success of the department, ensuring audit and assurance support requests are appropriately resourced by your team and department members have an appropriate portfolio of work. You will support the Head of Centre in making decisions on recruitment needs and communication strategy with the business, based on current and predicted demand levels.

Key responsibilities include:

Setting objectives and producing MI reporting to Senior and Peer Management to inform resourcing decisions and to inform recruitment and talent development strategies

Accountable for Centre-wide resource management and oversight of allocation of work across all services by the portfolio management resourcing team, consisting of assistant managers and associates

Support the effective management of the feedback and complaints process whilst in transition to the Quality Manager’s responsibilities

Ensuring the implementation and delivery of robust processes alongside continued identification and implementation of service and process improvements

Work with senior stakeholders and business partners to understand the business need within Audit and Assurance to drive growth and Centre brand
You will work as part of an established and structured team within a department that continues to grow at speed. The career pathway and people leadership structure will provide you with the ability to develop the quality and career path of junior colleagues, utilising your experience as a people leader.
You will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with a variety of colleagues within the firm, from peers through to directors, and deliver exceptional service in a department where quality is key.
The role is available at an Assistant Manager or Manager level depending on experience.

Essential:

Proven work experience in a similar area, with transferrable skills in resource planning and management

Knowledge and experience in stakeholder management and building effective relationships through strong interpersonal and communication skills

Strong people leadership experience of coaching and mentoring more junior team members through their career pathway, managing performance and development discussions

Good level of excel knowledge:

data manipulation using pivots and formulas (SUMIF, COUNTIF, IF statements)

data presentation to include the creation of graphs, tables etc
Desirable:

Knowledge of financial audit lifecycle

Working knowledge of tools and technology to support headcount and resourcing

Experience in change/project management

Personal independence
Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints. This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm.
