Please note this post is for a Senior Biomedical Scientist based mainly in Serology and Molecular.
Priority will be given to those with relevant experience. Some bacteriology experience and a willingness to participate on-call are also expected.
We are seeking to recruit a conscientious and dependable Senior Biomedical Scientist (Microbiology) to join our team based at University Hospital Wishaw.
It is essential that the successful candidate will have Stage registration with HCPC MSc in Biomedical Science or Fellowship of the Institute of Biomedical Science or equivalent experience (5 years as BMS1 and evidence of CPD in relevant discipline) Formal evidence of highly specialist knowledge of range of discipline specific procedures Evidence of CPD eg specialised portfolio of development, attendance at specialist courses, training on new instrumentation, learning through reflective practice For those staff reporting cervical cytology, the NHS Cervical Screening Programme Certificate in Cervical Cytology and compliance with NHS CSP guidelines
This role requires weekend and on-call working.
Ability to work across sites.
