Job Description

Our Exciting Opportunity:

We are now looking for a Service Delivery Line Manager for the Transport Planning Team, this position is responsible for the overall management of the RAN Transport Planning team that delivers solutions into the customers RAN Transport Networks. The team also includes Tools support for Coverage reporting and Radio Propagation Model Tuning activities. The responsibilities including resource management, establishment of goals, monitoring and reporting results, managing budgets and OHS compliance.


Additionally, you will provide technical leadership and expertise, solving complex engineering problems, and will be accountable for the Transport Teams planned solutions, end to end delivery, and major technical recommendations. Interaction with external and internal stakeholders is critical and you will be expected to manage the relationships with our customer to ensure that we have processes in place to deliver on our customer promise and to provide an excellent customer service.


Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Lead a Multi-Functional team for the delivery of Transport services. The team consists of on and offshore engineers who broadly provide services in the area of Transport Planning (Microwave and Leased Line), RAN Network Circuiting, Transport Equipment configuration, IP RAN circuit migrations for all technologies (IPABIS, 3G, 4G & 5G), Tools support, coverage reporting and Propagation Model Tuning.
  • You will ensure service delivery execution in the Customers RAN Transport Network
  • You will be responsible for driving and supporting services sales, the collection and documenting of customer requirements
  • Building a productive work environment for individuals and own organization
  • Drive performance management (process)
  • Drive competence management
  • Conduct Resource management
  • Attend customer meeting on behalf of the Ericsson Transport department, act as a consultant to the customer and the Program team, recommending the best and most cost-effective solutions.
  • Identify add-on sales opportunities
  • Participate in knowledge sharing activities
  • Interpret business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes, or services.
  • Review and give guidance on new WR and SOWs.
  • Update Premium Proposal for project costing and resource management.


Key Qualifications:

  • Education: Degree Level / HND in Technical Discipline or Relevant Technical Experience
  • Min years of experience: 10 Years in a RAN Transport Planning or a related area
  • Domain experience: IP RAN, Transmission Planning and deployment (Microwave and leased Line)
  • Deep understanding of Service Delivery process, models, and strategy
  • Knowledge of the sales process
  • Good acumen of basic finance and business margins.


Additional Requirements:

  • Deep understanding Ethernet/IP transport within mobile access network
  • Have a thorough knowledge of Transmission network E2E deployment methodology and Co-ordination of both leased bandwidth and MW link deployment.
