Job Description
DESCRIPTION: Primary job is to support field supervisors in the execution of concrete and formwork operations.
SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
1. Utilizing construction drawings, develop CAD drawings to create concrete outlines, dimensions and sections.
2. Utilizing construction and shop drawings develop 3D modeling to prepare for constructability, prefabrication and installation.
3. Make 3D models and work with the project team to provide easy utilization of it.
4. Identify document deficiencies and create clarification requests.
5. Assist in searching for value engineering and cost saving ideas.
6. Update systems library in CAD or other methods in order to revisit and make changes as needed.
7. Quantity take-off of concrete and formwork elements
8. Assist Productivity Engineer, Superintendents and job Foremen in collaborating ideas then creating formwork details required for their projects.
9. Make pour sequence drawings with assistance from the project Superintendent.
10. Make complete formwork panel drawings.
11. Construct scaled models of concrete structures for specific projects.
12. Assist in formwork system inventories.
13. Assist in creating innovative ideas that reduce field labor.
14. Coordinate mechanical sleeves, spools, openings and miscellaneous steel embeds on the formwork detailed drawings.
15. Create lift drawings for precast including inserts, openings & formwork.
16. Material pricing as directed by the General Superintendent
17. Participate in periodic project planning meetings.
COMPUTER SKILLS PREFERRED
1. AutoCAD, Revit or similar, Tremble Sketchup, Bluebeam
2. Excel
3. Viewpoint
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
The position requires work in an office environment as well as a jobsite. Both require sitting, walking and extensive computer work is required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
