Who we're looking for
Schroders Capital Real Estate is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Quantitative Real Estate Research Analyst to join its research function. The team works closely with the fund managers, local investment and distribution teams in real estate, developing the high-level strategy for our investment programs, providing thought leadership and assisting with the preparation client and prospects' reports and presentations. Your role will involve data collation, including the creation of a database for the real estate group, quantitative analysis of real estate occupational and capital markets, and the production of analytical content and thought pieces. The research team is well regarded within the industry, and it is a great opportunity to learn about commercial real estate and develop your skills as an analyst.

What you'll do
- Create and manage a real estate database comprising economic, occupational, capital market and financial market information and data
- Developing quantitative modelling at submarket, city and national levels across sectors to provide projections and assess markets
- Support the production of content including specific market analysis, period publications and thought pieces
- Produce analytical outputs to support market assessments including publicly traded real estate and private real estate debt
- Support portfolio construction and strategy including asset allocation and risk modelling
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
- Graduate with a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree from a top university in maths, economics, engineering or another numerate subject
- Sound working knowledge of econometric, data science, investment and valuation methodologies
- Strong Excel, Visual Basic and PowerPoint skills
- Proficiency with statistical software packages such as Eviews, Stata, R and/or Python
- 1-2 years work experience in a commercial environment
- An interest in commercial real estate and familiarity with industry data
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
- Postgraduate (MSc, PhD) qualifications in the above fields
- Experience working with economic, financial market and ideally real estate market data
- Work experience in a real estate focussed advisory firm or investment manager
- Familiarity with PowerBI and Tableau
