Job Description
This role is for an exciting not-for-profit that seeks to promote tech ethics through investor engagement and stewardship. It is in the process of expanding, and as such, is looking to hire an Executive Assistant or Office Manager to work closely with the chair.
The NFP is seeking a motivated organiser with a highly professional manner and excellent communication skills and an entrepreneurial mindset to help drive our enterprise into the future. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the financial sector and have a solid working knowledge of the investor value chain.
Some of the tasks will be regular and predictable; others will be ad-hoc and require initiative and inventiveness. As assistant to the chair of a smaller organisation, flexibility and persistence are essential, and in return it offers a rewarding experience with plenty of variety, as well as opportunities for growth and taking over broader responsibilities over time.
This is initially envisaged as a full-time remote role, but they are open to discussing part time or hybrid arrangements.
Main Duties
· Acting as the point of contact for the chair between employees, clients, and other external partners
· Diary management including scheduling meetings and organising business travel
· Inbox management and correspondence
· Managing files, databases, bookkeeping and subscriptions
· Client and team meeting support and agenda preparation
· Ad hoc research projects
· Manage content for social media accounts
· Preparation of presentations for various meetings from a master presentation of slides
Skills and Experience
· Minimum 10 years’ experience working as an executive assistant
· Highly professional level of verbal and written communication skills
· Good people skills
· Self-motivation
· Professional discretion
· Flexibility
· Highly tech adept
· Attention to detail
· Outstanding time management
· Ability to work under pressure and juggle priorities
· Excellent Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Desirable:
· Experience working with investors and asset managers
· Research capability
· Experience in proofreading and editing
. Familiarity with legal contracts
Please note this role will require at least 26 - 32 hours per week with some flexibility around scheduling, taking into account deadlines. Salary is pro-rata and commensurate with experience and will be in the range of £30,000 to £35,000.
