This full-time permanent position is available immediately in the department of Technical Services.
Summary of the role
The department wishes to recruit a Zebrafish Husbandry Technician to work in the Aquatic Resources Centre (ARC). This post will be available from the 20th February 2023 on a permanent basis and is based at the Streatham Campus in Exeter. The ARC is a world-class facility containing multiple rooms that house as many as 20-30 species of aquatic organisms at any one time, including a 3000 tank zebrafish facility.
The successful candidate will work alongside animal husbandry staff, students and academic staff. The candidate will preferably have a background working in a zebrafish facility but at the very least have experience working with fish/aquatics in a research or commercial environment. The candidate will have excellent communication skills, be well organised and be proficient at maintaining accurate records to a level required by our licence conditions.
