Reporting to our Company Secretary and Group Legal Counsel the Head of Commercial Contracts will support the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), in driving our growth agenda, shaping better customer propositions, and creating highly effective and lean sales and service organisations. All of this with a clear alignment to Simplyhealth’s core purpose; to improve access to healthcare, for the many, for the long term.
This is a key role leadership role within Simplyhealth and you’ll provide great insight, challenge and advice for commercially led operational and strategic debate, choices and decisions, which will be underpinned by excellent vendor and customer management through service negotiation, application of best practice and policy enforcement.
The Head of Commercial Contracts will be required to lead a number of commercial contracting activities in order to inform decision making and strategic planning. These activities shall include all aspects of procurement, vendor selection and management, contract shaping and negotiation, costing and modelling, including governance and approval. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring all financial, legal and regulatory requirements are fulfilled.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide commercial, strategic and operational business advice to the General Counsel, the CFO and the wider business.
- Lead the ongoing development and application of the Simplyhealth Vendor Management Framework strategy and associated policy and procedures - with a roadmap that creates the right conditions for good commercial outcomes balanced with fairness and value.
- Support the end-to-end contracting process for Corporate cash plan customers – to drive understanding and application of best practice and operational efficiencies across the group.
- Contribute fully to the development of product and customer strategies, challenging assumptions, providing intelligence and options for consideration and
