Alternative Airlines are looking for a Junior Designer to take on a newly created role. This position is ideal for an individual looking to get involved in a broad mix of design tasks and projects on our website and marketing materials.

We are continuing to grow and want to expand our team to include an ambitious, inquisitive and talented Junior Designer.
Reporting to the UX Lead, the Junior Designer will join the User Experience and Design Team and will directly support the Product Designer. Working within the UX & Design Team means you’ll be part of a much wider Tech Team that also includes engineering and product. Our Tech Team moves fast, is constantly testing, and strives to deliver changes frequently and efficiently - You’ll also have the opportunity to work with other departments on design tasks, such as creating assets for email marketing and social posts.

What the role involves
- Designing assets for:
- The website and booking journey
- Marketing and service emails
- Social media
- Infographics
- Internal and external presentations
- Maintaining and evolving the design system
- Creating UI designs and flows for new products and services
- UI requirements gathering from stakeholders within the business
- Testing web deployments to ensure the design brief has been delivered
Essential Skills
- Experience working with Figma or similar design tools
- Has a good eye for detail
- Is innovative and confident to experiment with new ideas
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Has the ability to manage tasks individually or work as part of a team
- Can create design solutions for complex flows
- Has great communication skills and is confident working with stakeholders across the business
- 1+ years of industry experience and/or a strong design portfolio
Desired
- Experience wireframing and/or prototyping
- Keeps up with the latest design trends
- Experience working in the travel industry
