Who are we:
Avove is a new, independent utilities infrastructure business, formed from the utilities division of leading infrastructure services company, Amey.
We design, build and maintain the UK’s utilities infrastructure to help transform local communities for the better.

The Role:
Due to significant growth within our business, we are looking for an Estimator to join our team!
You will work as an integral part of the Estimating Team and be responsible for assisting in the preparation of detailed analytical tenders and estimates from first principles.
You will also compile rates for 'non-standard’ items using the first principles approach. You will set up bids on the estimating database, maintain pricing data and you will also be responsible for the preparation of documents in accordance with our corporate governance process.
Previous use of estimating software such as ConQuest, Proscope or Candy would be advantageous. Previous experience of underground utilities pricing/construction would also be advantageous along with project management experience.
This is a permanent full time position and is of a hybrid nature working from home and our offices in Coventry and Castle Donnington.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing all tender enquiries with suppliers and supply chain for cost build up
- Work closely with the account operational teams for work winning pipeline and manage all tender information for the framework
- Develop and manage comprehensive project risk registers for the framework
- Assist in the preparation of detailed analytical tenders and estimates from first principals within defined timescales on bids up to the value of £50m
- Assist in the preparation of a comprehensive briefing pack for the Operational Project Teams on all successful tenders
- Set up bids on the Estimating Software
- Assist in developing and maintaining a library of outputs and pricing data
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in NEC 3/4 contracts
- Experience in Clean water and Wastewater infrastructure services
- Some background and knowledge in Non infrastructure works is desirable
- Experience in supporting large framework tenders of varying complexity.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Be numerate and computer literate
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products especially Excel and Word
- Having or be studying for a Degree qualification (RICS or equivalent) is desirable
