Job Description

Belmond is recruiting a Global Talent Acquisition Director to join the Human Resources team based in our Corporate office in Bloomsbury, Central London (WC1B).

The Global Talent Acquisition Director will work closely with HR leaders and senior executives to understand the company objectives and build plans and strategies to improve recruitment performance. In collaboration with HR leaders and senior executives, they will design and implement recruitment plans to target talent profiles for strategic roles within the organisation.

The Global Talent Acquisition Director will act as an internal executive search and directly source General Managers and other senior talents for current and future job openings recruiting top talent and growing talent pipelines across the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identifying the organisation’s needs and working to create and implement an efficient talent acquisition strategy to improve recruitment and business performance.
  • In collaboration with the HR Leaders, forecasting hiring needs and planning recruitment based on business growth plans. Preparing and reviewing the annual recruitment budget.
  • Headhunting and developing a network of potential future hires GM and other senior roles in Belmond operations and global teams.
  • Providing advice on recruiting tactics that will help to sustain the company’s success.
  • Communicating with external sources, i.e. competitive set organisations and other LVMH Divisions to acknowledge any trends in recruitment and markets which could impact upon the business.
  • Implementing key recruitment metrics like source of hire and time to hire and measuring and reporting to the HR Leaders and senior executives.
  • Ensuring the company has the right recruitment tools and systems to deliver excellent candidate experience and attract top talent.
  • Ensuring we deliver Excellence at all stages of the candidate experience including application, interviewing and communication.
  • In collaboration with the HR Leaders, design and implement online and offline employer branding activities.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate will have a proven track record managing senior appointments in the luxury hospitality industry. The role would be well suited to a senior consultant within a leading executive search firm looking to become an in-house strategist and key business partner for leading global talent acquisition within a global organisation.

Additionally, they will have:

  • Strong multicultural awareness built through global networking;
  • Hands-on experience in the entire recruitment life cycle;
  • Knowledge and experience of effective hiring practices;
  • Experience working closely with senior leaders, ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and foster long term relationships;
  • Strong leadership, communication skills with emotional intelligence, strong collaborator, results driven, adaptable and a global thinker;
