This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, friendly and vibrant team that aims to provide a top-quality technical service to students, academic staff and other stakeholders in our skills rooms, simulation environments and nutrition suite.
The primary responsibilities of the role will be the coordinating of skills equipment and consumables across the school’s skills rooms, liaising with teaching staff, to enable learning and teaching to be delivered at the highest standard to students. Responsibility for coordinating consumables will involve stock planning, procurement, rotation, tracking of expiry dates.
The additional responsibilities of the role will be:

the maintenance and compliance of the school’s equipment ensuring maintenance schedules and compliance registers are complete and legally compliant.

operation of simulation application and scenario writing software within the school’s simulation environments; working with simulation educators to deliver the technical elements of simulation scenarios

contribute to ensuring that the learning settings are safe and secure environments conducive to learning, teaching and research
You will require excellent organisational, customer service skills, ability to understand, communicate and demonstrate complex technical instructions verbally and in written format and must demonstrate that they can work well as part of a team.
It is crucial that you are able to work extensively with display screen equipment, are aware of lifting and handling requirements and have the ability to lift objects and transport them in a safe manner.
The school teaches a broad spectrum of sport and health related discipline skills across the sites in the subject fields of Nursing Sciences, Sport and Physical Activity, Health and Rehabilitation and Acute Care. Many of these skills are learnt in simulated environments created in our skills learning environments.
There will be a requirement to travel between the Falmer and Eastbourne sites with the planned move of the whole school to the Falmer campus for September 2024.
This post is part-time 22.5 hours and is a permanent contract.
