JOB PURPOSE
Based in the Engagement & Partnerships Department at QEF, we are looking for a passionate person to fill this incredibly rewarding role as Philanthropy Manager working with a successful team. You will lead on developing the major donor programme and producing applications for funding to support life changing projects at QEF which help people with disabilities and acquired brain injury.
This is a hybrid opportunity, with a blend of home and office working.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading disability charity and play a vital role in a small but ambitious fundraising team. There is a huge amount of potential for QEF’s Philanthropy programme and this role would suit someone with excellent communication skills with the drive and enthusiasm to make things happen.
The key purpose of this post is to develop and implement plans to transform the level of operation of the major donor fundraising function, developing new and innovative ideas to take advantage of new opportunities to grow income and build our profile. The post holder will be responsible for nurturing existing and recruiting new major donors (£5k+) and then stewarding these high-net worth individuals to continue making large gifts to QEF.
The role also leads and manages the successful trusts team. Alongside the trusts team, this person will have experience of identifying new charitable trusts and foundations and will play a key part in securing significant gifts, whilst supporting and advising the team to achieve success in their areas.
Key responsibilities:
Working closely with the Assistant Director, you will develop and implement a strategy and budget for each financial year to achieve a step change in income generation from our major donors and trusts and foundations income streams.
Research and make contact with potential major donors and trusts: spotting opportunities to engage.
Carry out rigorous research, monitoring and evaluation of activities to measure financial return on investment and the impact in relation to our strategic aims.
Work closely with the events team to provide continued opportunities and re-engagement of our major donors through existing or new events.
Drive forward the development of strategic and operational plans for major donor and trusts and foundations fundraising. Collaborate with teams across the organisation to explore opportunities for income generation.
