Doctor Direct have an exciting opportunity for a SpR to work with us at Oxford University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on their Paediatric/Neonatal specialist team.

Details about the roles:
- Speciality: neonatal
- Location: Oxford
- Shift patterns: 8:00-16:30 Mon-Fri on-going, part-time hours also available
- Hours per week: 20-50 hours available
- Start date: ASAP- no end date, this is on-going the client will accept short term contracts
- Rates: £40-£70 depending on experience
Detailed job description and main responsibilities:
- Overseeing the workload of the clinical area for the shift duration;
- Lead ward round and clinical decision on HDU on weekend day shifts;
- Overseeing documentation and progress of discharge summaries;
- Supervising ST1-3 trainees working on the neonatal unit, HDU,LDU, post-natal ward and attending deliveries. It’s expected that the post-holder will also be available to teach clinical skills;
- Attend high risk/preterm deliveries;
- Participate in neonatal transports if required- time critical transfer, (when on transport shift)
- Participate in the departmental education programme (presentations/journal club)
