What you’ll do:
You will work in a busy Quality, Environment and Health & Safety (QES) team who support the entire company, including operational teams, in ensuring that JN Bentley and its sister organisations JBAB and MMB work Safely, avoid Environmental harm, safeguard the Occupational Health of our employees and deliver Quality projects to our client base and their customers.
Duties to include –

Visiting construction sites observing Inspections of operations from a QES perspective

Attending and observing relevant training courses

Learning techniques to deliver training
-
Learning about Health Safety and Environmental legislation
-
Liaising with internal and external partners to understand the needs of the company, our clients and the wider industry

Understanding and where necessary supporting the administrational framework of JN Bentley and the QES team
-
Providing support to QES and Regional Operational teams by collating and reporting on accumulated Health Safety and Environmental data

Supporting the provision of Occupational Health Support to employees and liaising with external Occupational Health Providers as required
-
Learning to use the software packages which underpin our training and analyses.

Analysing data from incident reports to formulate strategies to avoid harm

Internal liaison with Support and Operational teams

Understanding areas specific requirements

Supporting the incident reporting and investigation process

Gaining an understanding of management systems

Observing internal and external audits
Skills and Qualifications
-
English and Maths to GCSE Grades A – C, (4-9) or equivalent.

A Levels or equivalent desirable
-
Ability to work professionally as part of a team

Effective analytical and problem determination skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Ability to work on own initiative, to deadlines and under pressure

Accuracy and attention to detail

Full driving licence required
