Job Description

About TradingHub

Founded in 2010, we have grown a united vision shared between two people to a team of over 140 across London, Toronto, New York and Hong Kong. We have achieved scale by building the best-in-class surveillance tooling, offering market-leading trade data analysis in the following areas: Market Abuse; Operational Risk; Best Execution and Anti Money Laundering. Our customers are made up of Leading investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, commodity houses, and brokerage firms (collectively representing over 20 trillion dollars of AUM).

Though we have developed in the trade surveillance arena we have always been more than that. At heart, we are a finance-focused big data firm. Our goal is to continue creating the world’s leading financial markets analytics platform.

We are looking for Software Engineer summer interns who want to be at the forefront of an incredibly exciting industry.

Initial training will involve bringing you up to speed on our products, teaching you our internal programming language, and making sure that you have all other necessary technical expertise. However, we take a “learn by doing” approach where, as soon as possible, you will be assigned real tasks and adding value to the company.

This work would appeal to STEM degree students with a broad knowledge of computing who like to continually learn new things and do not mind dealing with rapidly changing priorities and projects. This is an opportunity to join and learn from enthusiastic – like minded engineers to work on exciting projects with a real-world impact.

Quantitative Developer (Risk)

TradingHub’s risk team is responsible for building and maintaining fundamental models used for analytics across our entire platform. As an intern here, you’ll be working alongside quantitative developers and analysts. You will have the opportunity to work directly on our models and make a genuine impact to our production environment. Successful candidates should be quantitatively focused and comfortable with both software development and data analysis.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with C#, SQL, Python or any object-oriented programming language
  • STEM degree
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, often utilising proprietary methods
  • Comfortable working in a team
  • Excellent communication skills with a self-starting attitude
  • Having an interest in financial markets is essential

Benefits

As an intern, you will be eligible to participate in a number of Company-sponsored benefits, such as:

  • Flexible working
  • 20 days’ annual leave + public holidays (pro-rated if joining part-way through the calendar year)
  • Informal dress code and excellent work/life balance
  • Vibrant company culture with lots of regular social perks!
