Merton Uplift is a primary care mental health service which aims to provide support to people living within the borough, to access the right support for their mental health. Our primary care services deliver a range of evidence-based psychological interventions to people with common mental health problems within a stepped care model. Merton Uplift has three elements including Primary Care Recovery Service, Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT), and a Wellbeing Team, including employment support.
Merton Uplift consists of a wide multi-disciplinary team including qualified Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, CBT Therapists, Community Psychiatric Nurses, an OT, IAPT High Intensity Trainees, Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs), Employment Advisors and Wellbeing Practitioners. The Service is supported by an administration team which is overseen by a lead administrator for the trust primary care services. We aim to offer culturally sensitive interventions and have a strong track record in innovative practice.
The Wellbeing service is formed by a partnership between the NHS and voluntary sector organisations. The Wellbeing Team delivers active programmes aimed at increasing access to psychological therapies for hard to reach communities, reducing health inequalities and building resilience in the community through coproduction.
