Job description
Ensure that all guests are served to the agency standard in the Restaurant / Bar / Lounge areas. Display highest standards of hospitality following Steps of Service demonstrated on our original Training Day.
Takes orders for food and beverages to guests as per the agency standards in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
Please note: as it is an ever-changing field, you will be expected to work at the designated area which you will be given based on your skillset.
Responsibilities
Waiter/Waitress:
- Greets guests and presents them with the menu.
- Must be aware of the daily menu in detail. Informs guests about the special items for the day and menu changes if any.
- Suggest food and beverages to the guest and try to upsell.
- Take food and beverage orders from the guest on the order using pads.
- Punch the order on the POS machine and make sure to enter the special requirements made by the guest while ordering the food (e.g., No Garlic)
- Communicate to the guest and aid with their queries.
- Work as a team to get all the job tasks completed in any given time.
- Offering/refilling drinks and replenishing utensils.
- Opening bottles in the correct manner.
- Clearing tables promptly as instructed by line manager.
- Thoroughly complete all station set-up and breakdown responsibilities
- Attend supervisors briefing and familiarise yourself with the menu information and individual customer requirements
VIP Runner:
- Promptly respond to instructions requested by Back of House (BOH) Manager.
- Bring plated food to tables using a tray.
- Good understanding of the room layout/floor plan, while completing daily preshow checks.
- Serve food to the table where applicable, in front of guests.
- Make sure the cutlery is polished – following BOH Manager’s instructions.
- Replace dishes from kitchen if instructed by Front of House Manager.
- Make sure all accompaniments are always replenished.
- Communicate to the guest and aid with their queries.
- Work as a team to get all the job tasks completed in any given time.
- Opening bottles in the correct manner.
- Clearing tables promptly when asked by your line manager.
- Thoroughly complete all station set-up and breakdown responsibilities
- Attend supervisors briefing and familiarise yourself with the menu information and individual customer requirements
Bartender:
- Mix and serve drinks following specified recipes.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beer, and non-alcoholic selections available within the outlet.
- Working knowledge of designated glassware, ingredients, preparation method and garnishes of each drink.
- Always maintain an orderly and clean bar, including, but not limited to, bar surface, draught area, coolers, wells, sinks, mixing materials, server area and lounge.
- Maintain product inventory and supplies including all liquors, beers, wines, mixes, garnishes, glassware, ice, and miscellaneous bar supplies before and after the shift.
- Set up bar at beginning of shift, cut fruit for the day, and close bar at end of each shift in accordance with Company standards.
- Cocktail, bus, and service guests through the shift ensuring a visually appealing environment.
- Ensure compliance with Company and State alcohol service and identification policies.
Requirements
- The ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
- To provide premiere service to guests and ensure their complete satisfaction, inclusive of greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating and meeting guest needs and preferences, remaining calm and professional when dealing with guests that are difficult or upset.
- The ability to develop and maintain professional, trusting, and positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, co-workers and guests.
- The ability to work safely. This includes clearly understanding and following company safety policies and procedures, completing work in a safe manner, caring about safety of self and others, responding appropriately in an emergency, and reporting unsafe conditions.
- Inform manager on duty of any irregularities and unusual situations when they occur.
- Ensure compliance with Company and State alcohol service and identification policies.
- Ability to keep a friendly, calm, and helpful demeanour in high-stress situations and a continuously fast-paced environment.
- Is honest in all interactions and displays a high degree of integrity.
- Ability to work independently with little to no supervisor or as part of a team is required.
- Punctual to any given shift – Be at the allocated area by the time agreed.
- Following Uniform and grooming standards outlined prior to the shift.
- Knowledge of an additional languages is valued. Preferred: Italian, Spanish, French.

Salary: £11.10-£13.30 per hour
