Role Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Consumer Insights or Market Research Manager to lead a team in the Chilled & Bakery division at Kantar Worldpanel! With responsibility for a varied and established mix of clients, there is a huge opportunity for development and expansion. Leading on clients that own brands such as McCain, Ginsters and Soreen, as well as with Nando's and Costa within the UK grocery market, this role presents an exciting opportunity to work with some of the most exciting and well known household brands in the UK, as well as leading Chilled Convenience suppliers in the UK. The Chilled & Bakery team has seen many years of strong growth, and we have bold plans to keep driving growth in this space, particularly with ever changing shopper behaviours meaning it is becoming increasingly important for brands and manufacturers to understand how the grocery landscape is evolving.
Working alongside the senior leadership team, you will set the strategic objectives for a team of 4 and have the opportunity to build thought leadership pieces to elevate our position in the industry. All of these elements coupled with driving and supporting our new business function will help you to drive the success of our team now and in the future.
Key Responsibilities

Team: Working with your Director to set the strategic vision for a small team. Leading by example with high-level commercial performance and data analysis.

Revenue: Managing a portfolio of some of our biggest and most strategically important clients across FMCG.

Challenge and Inspire Clients: Act as the senior contact on all accounts – setting an example to the team by making valuable contributions to client relationships, ensuring the highest level of client servicing and account planning to build senior networks across our client base.

Elevating Insight: Producing and presenting high quality insight beyond just your client base. Deliver credible presentations to senior audiences using purchasing and consumer data to drive true consumer insight.

Service development & Innovation / Data quality: Contributing ideas for improving our service, highlighting any areas of concern to relevant operations teams, communicating to clients as necessary.
Capabilities & Experience

Proven experience in consumer insights or market research roles (either in agency or client side).

Able to build and maintain fantastic client relationships, inspiring trust and confidence.

Commercially strong and able to spot sales opportunities and convert them.

A proven track record of managing and motivating a successful team.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to put together insightful and impactful presentations, and support others in doing so.

Confident and experienced presenter who is able to present to large groups of people.

Good attention to detail, strong organisation and time management skills.

Willing to embrace, drive and suggest change.
