Angel Recruitment and our client specialising in HVAC we are looking for Quality Control Team Leader to join team in busy environment.
Hours: 07h00-15h00 (30 minute break)
37.5 hour a week
Salary: £21,100 - £27,430
Location: SO50
Purpose of role:
To successfully maintain the manufacturing schedules and improve efficiencies. To contribute towards the manufacturing strategy of “On time in full, at Best Quality, Lowest Total Cost, Shortest Lead Time and High Morale; through optimizing production flow by eliminating any waste
Role and responsibilities:
· Managing return requests within the inspection team ensuring reports are completed detailing any errors with the returns or if they can be returned to stock for resale.
· Managing change note requests within the inspection team ensuring all changes that influence the quality control of all products are managed effectively.
· Ensuring all products meet our Quality standards and strive to achieve first time pass rate. To help achieve this, this will include point inspections within manufacturing builds.
· Support production operatives with any quality concerns they might have or with technical advice throughout the manufacturing process.
· Ensure all product labelling, QC packs, QCS documents and AHU plaques are completed on time and are consistent across all product ranges.
· Manage DOR’s effectively to record and report on errors and quality concerns and any repeat issues that can be communicated back into production to prevent repeat errors.
· Manage the inspection work centre to ensure PRA statuses are kept up to date, including pool status, traffic light system and ensuring hours of work are posted daily.
· To observe all signs, instructions and procedures relevant to Health & Safety.
· Attend daily dispatch meetings and communicate effectively with all departments ensuring all data is correct and accurate.
· Use the inspection work centre to manage the inspection teams’ daily activities ensuring each member of staff is clear on expectations for the day and targets to achieve.
Key Performance Indicators:
· Focus of the manufacturing strategy is On Time in Full (OTIF)
· Production order on time completion >90%
· Reduction in damages and failed inspection
Effective work centre management, measured by;
· Working in line with the Capacity Reservations and ensuring all hours are posted correctly and on time.
· AX status reflecting physical manufacturing progress using the traffic light system.
· Managing manufacturing delivery / quality concerns through a traffic light system and ensuring there are SMART actions for each resolution.
· Meeting first time plans.
· Regular communication with Manufacturing and Warehouses Team Leader to ensure work flow is on track and prioritizing deliveries were needed.
· Attend daily dispatch meeting equipped with the information required for all departments involved with plans to achieve deadlines for that day.
Other;
· Support with personal ongoing training and development.
· Maintain the companies Health and Safety policies.
· All other reasonable requests made by your line manager.
· To be flexible with overtime where needed to support the department.
