Here’s a fantastic opportunity for you to join our highly experienced Nuclear consultancy team as an Apprentice Nuclear Consultant.
You will learn how to support our clients in the development of nuclear safety cases, radioactive waste management strategies, inventory modelling and environmental assessment, and so much more!
Our apprenticeship programme allows an opportunity to study for an academic qualification as well as gaining professional experience on our projects at the same time! You will be able to develop your technical skills through a variety of projects that you will take on as well as being supported in the development of your softer skills through our early careers learning and development program: ‘The Learning Curve’. We are looking to welcome an apprentice who is eager to learn and develop a career in sustainable building design.
What the role looks like
You will:

Work with us full time

Attend the University of West England or part-time study on day release - one day a week during term time

Gain a BSc (Hons) Environmental Management qualification on successful completion of the Environmental Practitioner Degree Apprenticeship
Our lively Bristol office based next to the iconic Wapping Wharf will welcome you into our Nuclear team. You will be working alongside our seniors and graduates, supporting a number of projects across the nuclear and broader energy sectors.
We fully fund you throughout your studies, supporting you through mentoring, as well as on-the-job training through ‘The Learning Curve’.
What you will learn with us
Contribute to the development of nuclear safety cases for new nuclear build developments, at a range of scales;-
Contribute to the development of radioactive waste management and decommissioning strategies for nuclear facilities either approaching, or already undertaking, decommissioning;

Support inventory modelling and assessment activities relating to waste / facility characterisation and disposal option development;

Support environmental assessment in relation to nuclear facility activities and options evaluation;

Develop an awareness of organisational capability in a nuclear industry context.
To fulfil all the learning objectives required to gain the qualification, you will undertake a planned rotation within our other teams including Geo-Environmental and Air Quality. This allows for the opportunity to experience other divisions and learn a variety of skills and competencies broadening your knowledge.
What will you need to succeed?
104 UCAS Tariff Points no specific A level subjects required.-
GCSE grades 4/C in English and Maths. Full details of entry requirements can be found on the training provider’s website.
