Claims Handler (Part-time, Job-share, or Full-time)

Are you a customer obsessed Claims Handler looking for their next move? We’re looking for talented, driven people like you to join our Motor Claims Team. We aren’t fussed where you are based, if you have the relevant experience we can be flexible on location!
Our Claims function is the largest department in our UK General Insurance business, and it plays a critical role in ensuring customers receive an efficient, professional, and empathetic service. Joining such a big team means there is always opportunities to learn, grow and develop your career, such as fully funded insurance qualification programmes and allotted development days each month.
Our full-time working hours are 35 hours per week Monday to Friday: 8am to 6pm – which means no weekends, late nights, or bank holiday working! However, at Zurich we will consider requests for flexible working on hiring. What will you be doing?
To help you become the best you can be, we provide comprehensive training that includes 5 weeks in a classroom environment and 4 weeks grad bay support. Once our formal training is complete, we’ll provide a supportive learning environment so you can confidently continue with your Claims Handler career.
You will bring an approachable style to our valued customer conversations through our workstreams that enables you to naturally handle customer claims queries. As a Claims Handler, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Promptly handle and positively resolve all enquiries from both customer and external contacts to ensure delivery of a focused claims service
- Review, resolve and proactively finalise claims within authority limits ensuring settlement at an optimum level with consideration to business implications.
- Maximise productivity and profitability within the team
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture

Who are we looking for?
Ideally, you will be an experienced Insurance Claims Handler, with ability to deliver exceptional customer service to customers through empathetic and supportive communication.
As a Claims Handler here at Zurich you’ll have an inquisitive nature that will enable you to ask appropriate questions and reach accurate decisions. You will need to be able to continually adapt your approach and easily multi-task in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
