The Directorate People & Training supports many frontline units as well as its outlying community working in support of Naval Operations around the world. Royal Navy Family and People Support (RN FPS) is an integral part of Navy Command’s People Support Organisation offering a range of specialist services to Naval Personnel, their families, and wider military communities across the UK and Overseas. RN FPS has four key priorities of Deployment Support, Visiting Officer role, Crisis Intervention and Safeguarding as such this adaptable and coordinated Organisation strives to enable and sustain resilience and resourcefulness within our diverse Service Community.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Job description

This crucial role located in HMS TEMERAIRE is critical for the delivery of strategic financial accountability of the RN FPS HOLT Bank Account non-public funds, DIO Licencing and Income Generation accountability, strategic Health & Safety mentorship to area teams and accountability to the Naval Command Headquarters, Data Protection Advice in recording Data capture within the Asset Register, ensuring DPA 18 and GDPR across RN FPS and responsible for IT equipment and security as the RN FPS ITSO.

As part of a fully coordinated service, this post requires a self-motivated, professional and flexible individual to work collaboratively within a vibrant HQ, colleagues across the organisation and 3rd Party providers from the charity and professional sector.

Running your own workload, you will need to be organised, innovative and adaptable to meet the needs of the wider organisation and a flexible work ethos is desirable - as is the ability to travel and provide own transportation.
