About the Role:
Following unprecedented growth in student recruitment at ARU, you will be part of a growing team of talented and professional Schools and Colleges Engagement & Development Officers, and will operate from our Chelmsford campus, with some working from home. Your primary role is to lead ARU’s relationship engaging with target school sixth forms and FE colleges, supporting their students with their higher education and degree apprenticeship choices and, ultimately, to influence them to apply to ARU. Working with and reporting to the Schools and Colleges Engagement Manager (Recruitment), you’ll deliver in line with our schools and colleges engagement strategy and will implement agreed plans. You’ll also work closely and collaboratively with colleagues across our Outreach teams to deliver joint objectives, and support Corporate Marketing and Faculty colleagues to deliver events including open days and UCAS conventions. Raising awareness of our undergraduate programmes in Cambridge, Chelmsford, our new University campus in Peterborough and our growing degree apprenticeship programmes, including those for the Metropolitan Police and Forces across East Anglia. You will be excellent at presentation, prioritisation, adaptability and reporting regularly on progress.
With a degree, part qualified relevant professional qualification or demonstrable level of experience and continued development, you will be a good communicator, with strong integrity, you will recognise and display the benefits of a collaborative approach and excellent customer service. Ideally, you will have previous Higher/Further Education experience, and/or will come from a customer-facing background, you will possess a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and you’ll need to be comfortable with contributing and adapting to change driven by sector developments and our own continuous improvement approach.
