This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a Business Support Team that play an integral part in supporting services at the heart of Regulatory activity. We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to work as part of a Team providing a full range of Business Support functions that contribute to the efficient running of the Regulation and Enforcement Service. Our aim is always to provide a Best in Class Business Support Service to our customers.
The post is full time and will be office based and home working.
This role requires the post holder to have the skills and abilities to complete tasks under tight deadlines, be able to multi-task and communicate effectively with numerous stakeholders at a senior level, both internal and external to the organisation.
In supporting an Enforcement focused service, you will be part of a team involved in assisting Officers to ensure prosecution related documents are typed and collated as necessary to form part of cases submitted to Court. The duties will also involve audio transcribing of Recorded Interviews and other media in relation to possible prosecutions and therefore good keyboard skills, attention to detail and accuracy are paramount for this role. Experience in minute taking would also be advantageous.
The successful candidate will join a team who are the first point of contact for Trading Standards and the Birmingham City Council Markets Service and therefore will need to have excellent communication skills and have experience in providing first class customer services. The post holder will be involved in taking payments over the telephone, deal with a variety of enquiries relating to the Markets Service as well as the wider Regulation and Enforcement Service. You will also signpost individuals as necessary to appropriate officers and Departments.
A major part of the support provided to our Services also involves all aspects of Finance including Raising Invoices, Purchase Orders and Payments. This is now carried out using Oracle 1B System.
