About the role
This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage our expanding paid-for tours programme, bringing in vital income to support the aims of the Museum while offering visitors a deeper insight into our collections, galleries, and a world of natural history.
Responsibilities will include the co-ordination of existing tours and the development of new themes to be explored by a range of audiences to enhance the Museum’s public programme. The Tours and Experiences Producer will develop and maintain a programme that includes daytime and out-of-hours experiences for both public and private bookings.
This position will line manage the Visitor Events Assistant (due to be in post summer 2023) and involves co-ordination of guides and other relevant staff, including recruitment and training where necessary.
About you
The ideal candidate for this position will have solid experience within the cultural sector and/or the co-ordination of tours and experiences that the share wonder of their subject matter. This role will be best suited to an individual with a strong understanding of how to optimise commercial opportunities and public engagement.
With some background in ticketed experiences, you will have a keen initiative for enhancing and upgrading offers and ensuring they are delivered to the highest standard.
To thrive in this role, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and a flair for curating unique experiences, with the ability to build strong partnerships.
